I have Windows XP on my desktop and the shutdown screen keeps coming up for me to shutdown repeatedly. Is this a protection issue the ssytem has built-in? This has never happened before/ I have internet over Clearwire(wireless intermet with a line of site type of service & router) & there is a storm in my area.1 person needs an answerI do too

Do you have an uninterruptible power supply (UPS=backup battery) or is the computer plugged into the wall socket? It sounds like you're having mini power outages. Shut down and do something else until the storm passes.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
