Windows XP has been infected with a virus/trojan via the net and getting pop up window wanting to access to the tray app and Windows installer wants to work.
Original title: tray app I have a PC with Windows XP. It has been infected with a virus/trojan via the net. I can not access the net but I have now got access to the DVD and CD drives. On the screen is a window wanting access to the tray app. I do not have a restore date prior to the infection. Windows installer keeps wanting to work. How do I get going again and remove the virus/trojan? I also have a laptop with windows vista. Can I download MSE to my laptop for windows XP and copy it to a CD then use it on the PC?
