Windows XP fire wall : Everytime I turn on my PC I have a warning telling me to turn on my firewall. For some reason my fire wall turns off when I shut down my PC and needs to be restarted everytime I turn on my PC.

What antivirus/security programs do you have installed? Many security suites come with their own firewall which disables the built-in Windows Firewall. Otherwise: The First Question Of Troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't? The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what programs (and versions) did you use to determine this?
