Hi,I hope someone can help. It is driving me crazy that windows hangs while starting causing the start-up to take up to 4 or 5 minutes.I have run scandisk, removed programmes that were unnecessary. Installed a registry cleaner, and as far as I can tell. Done the usual stuff. Removed temp files, virus checkers etc.One other symptom I have noticed is that it hangs in safe mode when trying to log on as the administrator. Hangs (Loading your personal settings).Any suggestions?Best Regards Steve2 people need an answerI do too

I have similar problem. WIA hangs on Startup both normal or safe mode. I have uninstalled my HP printer and all other applications which may use WIA (these were roxio and sonic). No difference. Logs show error on WIA but system finally starts. Reinstalled HP printer but no change. I had hoped this may cure problem.
