Hi Big Cat,there could be many reasons for your problem, however i can tell you that the current version of McAfee is notorious for slowing systems down.At least that's what i hear from reliable sources. You may like to try a different program.Just download a 15 day FREE trial of another program(Nortons for example)and see if the problem persists, and run a Full system scan. can tell you that Nortons,(the current versions 2009-10) don't have that problem.Uninstall McAfee and see if the problem goes away. Also i assume that you only have the necessary programs running on Start up?
