Windows XP Pro backup utility
I want to backup "my documents" to my DVD burner drive, which is my E:\ drive. When I try to do so I get the following pop-up message:The backup file name could not be used. "E:\backup.bkf"Please ensure it is a valid path, and that you have sufficient acces.I'm not sure what "valid path" means in this case?? I am logged on as administrator. Any ideas on how I can make this puppy work for me. Thanks for your help.Bill1 person needs an answerI do too

I think you may want to first try saving backup.bkf to c:\ and then insert your CD-RW or DVD-RW into the drive and copy backup.bkf to the CD-RW or DVD-RW. After you are sure the backup file is on your CD-RW or DVD-RW, you should then be back to delete c:\backup.bkf

Why not simply copy them to DVD, using appropriate burning software. Why use the backup utiity which can only backup to HD

I would recommend you use Mozy online back-up which offers 2gb of free storage and 100gb with the paid version. It's there when you need it, no cd, dvd, pen drive or other device to keep up with or loose and it works.http://mozy.comRegards,JoelFree computer support and diagnostics -->> http://repairbotsonline.forumotion.com/
