Windows Vista laptop and 2000 Server Environment
I got a new Vista Business laptop and am trying to add a network share to the Windows 2000 domain cotroller. I enter the path to the resources and click connect, but have no luck seeing the 2000 server. I can ping the domain controller. When I try to add this to the domain, it can't find the DC either. Is there anything special I need to do for Vista to talk to 2000 server?Any ideas? Thanks,Dirk

Hi Dirk, Do you mean there is a share folder but it fails to add to the Windows 2000 Active Directory? Or there is share folder on Windows 2000 Domain Controller, but it fails to be accessed on the Vista laptop? For further analysis, please provide the following information: Does the Vista join the domain? Is the Vista using wireless or wired network to connect DC?
