Hi, Could you capture a screenshot of the diagnostics report for further research? I would like to double confirm whether the wireless network can be detected in Windows Vista. If the wireless Router is configured as non-broadcast (hidden) network, refer to the following KB article: 929661 Connecting to non-broadcast wireless networks in Windows Vista http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;929661 If it is not configured as non-broadcast and the wireless network cannot be detected, please check the status of the network adapter: 1. Click Start, type Devmgmt.msc in the Start Search box, and press Enter. 2. Expand Network Adapters and check if there is any error shown on the NIC adapter. If the wireless network has been detected but cannot be connected, please let me know the exact wording of the error message. It would be better if you would capture a screenshot for me. Additionally, If SP1 has not been installed, please install the Windows Vista SP1 on this machine in order to fix the related issues

Hi Sorry for the late reply been busy with work There are no errors shown on the Network Adapter in device manager it actually shows my wireless adapter belkins within it all working fine. What im doing is clicking on "connect to network" and it says "windows cannot find any networks" so i click on "diagnose why windows cant find any networks" It runs 'Identyfying program' for a bit and then gets back to me with a message saying "windows wireless is not running on this computer" so i click on the option which says "Start windows wireless service" and then it says "windows cannot resolve the problem" "Please contact your network administrator or Internet Service Provider" Does this help?

Hi, Based on my research, this kind of issue is usually hardware-related. Please perform the following steps and check the result: Install the most recent version of the wireless network adapter driver. Change the wireless AP channel. Make the machine close to the wireless AP. Additionally, please check to see if the WLAN AutoConfig Service is running by using the netsh wlan show autoconfig command. If the service is not running, please start it in Services control panel.
