Windows Vista cannot access the shares of XP Computers
Hello everyone. I have a home network with a Windows XP Desktop (let's call itXP from now on)and a NAS (Icybox 4220) linked via a router (speedtouch 716wl). In both machines a have a shared folder.XP can easily read and write files to the NAS. Recently I bought a Windows Vista business laptop (let's call it VISTA). I connected it to the home network wirelessly. Both computers can see and ping each other. XP can see the VISTA and the NAS shares and filesbut it canONLY READ filesfrom theVISTA share. It cannot write files to it(no problem with the NAS).VISTA cansee XP and NAS onthe network map and when I click them, itshows their shares as well, but it cannot enter in them. I always receive an "access denied" message. If despite that, I drag and drop a file over the XP or NAS share, the file is successfully writen to them. All the network machines belong the the same workgroup and subnet. I have installed LLTD on XP. I have enabled "Network Discovery", "File Sharing"and disabled "Password Protected sharing" on VISTA On XP "Everyone" is granted with full control over the share. At the NAS I have made the share accessible to everyone, without restrictions. I have created on XP an account identical to the one of VISTA (user name and password) witth full access to the share. I have disabled all firewalls of the network. Still VISTA cannot access the shares of the XP and the NAS (list the contents and read files from them) but it can write files to them. Despite the fact that I have read numerous threads about similar problems, I have not found a soultion to my problem. I would appreciate if someone could help me.

Today I thought: "Why don't I try to connect through the wired connection?" And voila! Everything functions properly. So, with the wireless connections, I cannot read files from the network shares. With the wired connection everything functions properly. These two connections are configured identically with the same protocols, services and settings. Instantly I though about my router, but with my previous XP Notebook, it was functioning well, without problems. Any ideas why this might be happening?
