Hi! I have a laptop running Windows Vista with all latest updates from Microsoft and I have an issue connecting to a wireless network. When I connect to the wireless network (with "Excelent" signal strength), Windows gets all the correct parameters, IP Address, Gateway, Subnet mask, DNS, everything is exactly the same (just the IP ending changes of course) of another computer running Windows 7. However, the Windows Network and Sharing Center shows "Identifying..." for around 15s and then shows "Unidentified Network (public network)" and the laptop can't ping even the Gateway that it's showing on the "ipconfig /all". On the router side, it shows a list of connected devices, showing the computer in question as connected, but it can't ping it neither. Does anyone has a clue on how I can solve this issue? This computer connects to other wireless networks, other computers access the Internet thru this same wireless network and this computer connects to the Internet thru the same router using a cable.
