Windows Vista Home Premium Emachines, Invalid key for activation
Re-Installed Windows Vista Home Premium on an emachine with a Valid key from the back of the system. 2-3 weeks later, Key is invalid for activation. When I contacted Genuine Identification Group, they told me the key is active, but to call
customer service, which told me to contact emachine? What is the deal?

eMachine, just like other vendors (HP, ASUS, Dell or whatever), requires the OEM BIOS SLIC 2.0 (2.1 for Windows 7), Certificate (.xrm-ms file) , and Activation key from the sticker at the back of your computer. to activate the Activation Key from the back
of your system. If you have the recovery partition or recovery disk that came with that computer, use that to reinstall your computer.
