Windows Vista And NAS
I'm looking to purchase a NAS for my home wireless network, currently there 2 main PC's one desktop and one laptop both running Windows Vista Home Premium. In addition there are two other work laptops that sometimes connect to the networkone is running Windows XP Pro (SP not sure) and one is running Windows 2000 (again not sure of the SP). So enough of the background information, the question is: Can anyone recommend a NAS that will work on a Vista based client machines (Home Premium), because every where I look none of them work with Vista. Surely Vista has been out for long enough for manufactures to adjust their code to work with Vista.

Mark, We are running a QNAP appliance here at home and, apart from the periodic disconnects, the NAS works fine. HTH

I have a small LAN where I am using PC's with Windows 98se, Windows 2000, Windows XP, as well as a new one with Windows Vista (Home Premium). I have 2 NAS devices and (except for Vista's backup utility) they work well with all of the computers. They are (1) a Western Digital My Book World Edition, and (2) a Maxtor Shares Storage Drive.
