Windows Vista - no traffic when using WiFi encryption
This is a problem I have seen multiple times now, but I've never been able to solve properly. Fully patch Windows Vista. Updated drivers etc. Connecting to a wireless network using WEP/WPA/WPA2 the computer will acquire an IP address via DHCP. After that however, even pinging the gateway/router results in a timeout. When connecting to a wireless network not using encryption of any sort there is no problem accessing the network. I've tried running SFC, doing repair installs, safe mode with networking, nothing seems to change anything. I've even tested using a USB wireless dongle with the same results. Any help would be much appreciated. I would hate to have to do a wipe and re-install the next time I see a computer with this problem.
