If you had no hardware or software issues with Home premium, then Ultimate will run . You can use Windows anytime upgrade or a disk. When you say " it refused to start-up or uninstall" do you mean Upgrade Advisor or Windows 7? Windows 7 Upgrade Paths Windows Anytime Upgrade Shutdown the computer and power off by unplugging the power cored and removing the battery (notebook). Then reinsert the battery, plug the power cord in, and restart the computer and log-in to the desktop. Next tap CTRL+ALT+DELETE and select Task Manager. If Upgrade Advisor is listed as running application, select it and then select the End Task button. Now try to uninstall the Upgrade Advisor application.

i installed windows upgrade advisor because i want to upgrade my system from windows 7 home basic to ultimate. after installing the software it was working fine until i decided to cancel its connection to the internet because i was about to close from work and since then it refused to either start up or uninstall from the system so pls i need an urgent reply on this problem thanks.
