I noticed a change to the Windows update process after installing Windows 7 Home Premium & Professional on our laptops. After some automatic installs of some Windows updates the computers go through a lengthy update of the Registry upon booting after these updates. As an example the updates just installed did 16,020 updates to the Registry. Is this normal? Do our computers have a virus?

Hi, Dont worry about that. It always take some changes to registry after Windows update. But for your system security, I suggest you can use Anti-virus software to scan your computer to ensure there is not any virus.
