You said the problem appeared after a system restore. As you didn't write anything about possible changes in that 2 days, it's hard to find a specific answer to this. What comes into my mind, are merely generic ideas: Did you check if you received updates but didn't install them (that can happen even if you selected "update Windows automatically" - look at the "Windows Update" screen)? Did you do the product upgrade (it should be 1.0.1500.0)? Do you receive other updates from WU (last ones would be KB 972407/973847 for RC)? - If all fails, why not reinstall MSE? It's a matter of two minutes.G'luck.Mobile AMD64 3000+, VIA Apollo K8T800 chipset, 1 G RAM, ATIRadeonMobility 9700, 20x DVDRW, C:XPSP3 (55G),D:WIN7 (25G),F:DATA (250G)

Sorry, I've no link to the MSE upgrade. It was installed by Windows Update (interestingly, not installed automatically but downloaded as an "optional update" - had to find it first). If you didn't get the regular updates like that two I mentioned (they aren't that important, one improves the IE8 compatibility view, the other addresses an issue with Windows 7 Homegroups), there may be something wrong with your WU settings. Maybe some policies or firewall settings are against automatic (or all) updates, to prevent unwanted downloads, f.e.? I'm just guessing, though. As Zeus said, the current definition version of MSE is 1.65.330.0.Mobile AMD64 3000+, VIA Apollo K8T800 chipset, 1 G RAM, ATIRadeonMobility 9700, 20x DVDRW, C:XPSP3 (55G),D:WIN7 (25G),F:DATA (250G)

Hi Sanmartin ,i thought you were talking about MSE update from WU ,those updates i downloaded and installed them,my bad didnt check the whole thing andlooked straight to MSE updates!!!i just reinstalled MSE and looks like something was hacked earlier and i didnt even realize, i just checked the applocker rules after a long time without checking it and found lots of rules which i didnt apply to my pc so they were silently created which it feels to me pretty edgy(all of them created to allow Everyone)!!i deleted them and enforced some blocking rules....some registry entries also were created without my consentment \hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\Csc\parameters(Dword entries regarding caching threshold etc...)i implemented something new to avoid regedit.exe installing stuff, something really wrong was going on here silently and i also would like to mention that everytime when i was logged in as Admin and looking through security settings(MMC console) after closing it and clicking to shutdown the pc i would have to force to shutdown coz something was still opened!!after mse reinstalled didnt occurr againBest regards,RR

UPDATE: the rules created in applocker allowing everyone ,they were with extension .js which is java even though i disabled java in LMZ(Local machine zone) and all ZONESvia registry and via GPO....and those rules were HASH rules which makes it clearer something was going wrong....Weird anyways.. as i said im a 24hrs target, so guess im dealing with some experts kats who have no mercy at all on my Lil machine hehebut im handling well those attacks i see no major problems here ,just those lil things getting on my way sometimes then i just need to get 'em out and enforce some blocking rules!Regards,RR
