I'm having a problem with windows updates that keep reverting changes and aren't able to install. It stays on reverting changes for several hours and never seems to correct itself. Any assistance would be most appreciated as I can't seem to figure out how to resolve this.

I've attached a portion of the log in case anyone is able to decipher this.

You might want to run a system file check & DISM

Please run a system file check (SFC) & DISM (if necessary) if you are on win 8 or higher

I did run sfc and dism on at least one of the workstations and it didn't correct anything.

mind you I did those from the installation media. I'll give it a shot within the OS itself and see if that works. THanks for the very in depth wiki!

You can also clear the softwaredistribution folder, restart windows update service and check the result.

Open an administrative Command Prompt window.

Run the following commands, and press Enter after each command:

Net stop wuauserv

cd %systemroot%

Ren SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

Net start wuauserv

Then install updates again.
