for examle, check whether the files are really updated and explain to Windows Update that the fixes are already installed. Microsoft has provided file version information for the files updated by the update packages. Please check the information for the 4 updates- http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2468871 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2533523 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2600217 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2656351 The files can be found in C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319 In case the file versions are equal to or higher than the versions specified in the KB articles, you have these updates installed. If you have the updates installed, hide the updates (right-click them in Windows Update > Hide Update). Also read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910339

Hi, thanks for your links. I am waiting for the computer to be both on and unoccupied, so I can check/fix the issue. I hope I will get there in a few days.
