Windows Suggestion: Create a means by which a common set of Keyboard Shortcuts can be defined for use with all applications
In many Microsoft applications, typical searches are done using Ctrl+F, F3 and Shift+F3. Well not all applications follow this, which can be very annoying forcing one to try and remember each keystroke for each application, or changing each application to match the norm, if even possible. Coming from a programming background, I would suggest two approaches. First: Create an interface that developers can access to retrieve the common shortcuts to apply to their applications, along with a control panel applet to maintain them. Unfortunately, this would require new development, meaning older applications would not be covered. Second: Have a means by which users can submit Applications that do not conform to the above, and what the default shortcuts are, so that a Microsoft process, that monitors keyboard input, can cross-reference a common keystroke and convert it to the keystroke used by that application, and pass it through instead. This way, users can download, maybe during the Microsoft Update process, any new or updated application keystroke submissions. Just my 2 cents after many years of Development and using different applications.
