Windows Store 8.1 Does Not Open

Hello,

Now, I'm going to try to be as polite as possible but I've been searching for hours and have found absolutely nothing that works. It started out with trying to download an app when suddenly it was stuck pending for quite some time. I searched for a solution to this and tried all of the fixes on this forum. Be it through cmd, regedit, or wsreset.exe. Eventually, the whole shop simply broke down on me after I rebooted my computer. No matter how long I let it load, the shop simply does not open. I have many programs that I can not afford to have wiped from my computer as I am no longer in possession of any means to reinstall them, so a refresh is out of the question. And frankly, I'm tired of trying lame fixes that do not work and only seem to worsen the situation. I need a solid answer here Microsoft.

I have tried all of the Windows Troubleshooters, so do not suggest that I do it again. I'm beginning to become very displeased with Windows 8.1.

Thank you for your time.

Have you tried the following?

type or paste the following command:
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage
-DisableDevelopmentMode -Register
$Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml
hit Enter.
Now in that same Administrator Command Prompt type or paste: start "" "ms-windows-store:"

Yes, I did it several times in fact. Still stuck on the loading screen for the Shop with the little dots moving infinitely around in a circle. Even if I create a separate user account, no change.

UPDATE: Finally found the issue. "Access to the path 'C:\WINDOWS\softwaredistribution' is denied" but once again cannot afford to refresh my computer for the sake of the software on it that I do not have the discs or code for and can not afford to repurchase.

This is the furthest thing from the answer. I came here for support, a way to fix my problem, and you give me this. This is just ridiculous.

Hi,

For your problem, as you said, so many methods already tried but helpless. We can use Process Monitor to capture the process of activity of opening APP Store. If Process Monitor found any "Access Deny" volume, may be it is the reason you can't open APP Store.

Click the link below to download Process Monitor:
