Windows Sidebar Crashes after installing xplug webcam gadget!
Windows Sidebar keeps crashing! This started happening after installing the xplug webcam gadget! I do not have System Restore turned on, so can't dwell on that option to save me. Is there a way to reset the Sidebar to the original settings? i dont care if the gadgets i have downloaded get deleted in solving this problem! Or is there a way to uninstall just the xplug webcam gadget somehow, maybe even manually delete it or something from somewhere, because the traditional method of uninstalling a gadget is also giving me the same error and tells me that Sidebar has crashed. Please Help! :(

Haha, this is weird, I found a solution for my problem and now everything's working fine! I'd like to share the solution with everyone to help others. Type the following command in the Run/Search bar (depending on your OS) AFTER closing the sidebar process (if it is active). %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar From here, You can go to the Gadgets folder and delete the faulty gadget (like for my problem, the XPLUG gadget) and then restart Sidebar. Things will work! Cheers! :)
