Windows Seven won't connect to wireless OR ethernet Internet
I've built a machine with a Gigabyte motherboard and a one terabyte hard drive. Previously I installed Ubuntu 12.10, put an ethernet cord in, and the Internet worked just fine. I put a new partition with Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) edition and the Internet (with the ethernet cord) won't work on it. The operating system says that it has no drivers for it, but Ubuntu works fine with it. I've tried a few commands like "ipconfig /release" and "ipconfig /renew". I've got no idea what to do... What can I do in order to solve this problem?

You probably have a NIC that Win7 does not natively support. You have not told us much about your configuration so it is hard to say for sure, but my suggestion is that you use another computer to visit the NIC vendor's (or motherboard vendor if you have an onboard NIC) webpage and see if you can find a downloadable NIC driver for Win 7. Copy the driver onto a thumb drive and install on your new computer. Ubuntu and Windows ship with different sets of drivers so one may work with Windows and another with Ubuntu without there being anything wrong with either.
