Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2003 Net Use Error 1240
The following script produces, System error 1240 has occurred.The account is not authorized to log in from this station. net use \\xx.xxx.xx.xx\path password /USER:domain\username>> %logfile% 2>&1 We are transferring a text file from Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2003 When Windows Server 2008 tries to communicate with Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 see's different username / domain to which is in the net use command. Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this error? The local security policy on the 2008 server has the following settings which might be contributing to this error but even thou im logged in as a domain admin, im unable to change these settings as they are grayed out. 1. Force the version of SMB in W2K8 to 1. 2. Give a try to Create or change: EnablePlainTextPassword Type: REG_DWORD Data: 1 in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkStation\Parameters Rgds Milos
