Windows Server 2008 R2 Surround Sound
Just reposting this question in this section as directed by a moderator. I am trying to setup my sound card to use 5.1 Surround sound in Windows Server 2008 R2 I have installed my sound cards drivers and whatnot but when I attempt to configure it on the Windows Speaker Setup the only available options i have are Mono and Stereo. I am using the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE, and I have setup the tools for 5.1 surround, but using the test utilities, the sound always comes out the first two speakers regardless of where it is on the testing, which makes me believe it is the Speaker Configuration on the Windows Audio tools that is preventing me from using 5.1 I did the exact same thing on Windows 7 and on the Speaker Setup it came up with all sound options, and I cannot understand why Server shouldnt allow this. Is it a special feature I must enable in Server 2008 R2? I have downloaded and installed the Desktop Experience package for this computer as well but that didnt seem to do anything. I thank you for your help and cooperation with my problem, it is much appreciated. -Dak
