Windows Security Center can't be started...
Hi! I recently installed a third-party program on my Windows 7 Home Premium PC and once it was installed, I couldnt trace it anymore, in other words, i think it was a virus. Now this virus probably closed or did something to the security settings and now the "Solve PC issues:" says that Security Center is off, so I click turn on now and it gives the pop up message saying that it can't be started. I've tried typing 'Services' in the start search and when I open it, it says that "One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either...". Help PLEASE! Thanks in advance! Urgently!

Hi, Thanks for the post! Please check the Security Service firstly. 1. Click Start, type Services.msc in the search bar, then press Enter. 2. In the right pane, double-click Security Center. 3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, click Apply, click Start, and then click OK. 4. Restart the computer. If the Security Center service cannot be started, please let me know the error message. Meanwhile, do you have a file named wscui.cpl in Windows\System32 folder? If it exists, double click it to run Security Center. If the file is missing, please copy it from another known computer. In addition, for more infomation and support on virus issues, I would like to suggest that you call Microsoft PC Safety telephone number, 1-866-727-2338(1-866-PCSAFETY). This service offers no-charge assistance for virus-related issues or questions.
