Windows Security Box when attempting to access an FTP site
Just got a Windows 7 laptop and when trying to access an FTP site via Internet Explorer, I get a new "Windows Security" box that refers back to our office domain and the latop computer's "Name" and am unable to login to the FTP site because of this. I tried changing to the secondary login option and that didn't work either. Is there a better way to login to FTP sites using Windows 7 or is there a way to remove it referring to our office domain?

Hi, Is the FTP site on the internal network or on the internet? If it is on the internal network, ensure that you type the right username and password, try using the fully DNS name: domain\username. If it is on the internet, please access the site on other computers for a test, ensure that you get the enough permissions to access the FTP site. Please try accessing in Windows Explorer or via run box. BTW, I would like to share: You cannot log on to an FTP site or you are redirected to the root folder of the FTP site in Internet Explorer 7 Certain special characters are not allowed in the URL entered into the address bar of Internet Explorer Best Regards Dale Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
