Windows Search gets disabled after restart
Hi there, there is something strange happening to Windows Search service. Every time I restart my laptop the service gets disabled somehow. So every time after restart I have to switch start type to Auto and start service. Would appreciate any help on this. Thanks, Igor.

I suggest you try to remove the Windows Search Feature and Install it again. steps to remove windows search feature and install it : start -> control panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn windows features on or off -> unchecked the "Windows Search" --> OK --> restart After Restart you can doing these steps and select the Windows Search --> OK -> Restart the machine. Las, I followed your instructions and re-installed windows search. Still have same problem. Any other suggestions? Thanks, Velvet Update 1/4/2012, 9:15am: I am using a Lenovo T520 laptop. Most of the people on the forum below were using a lenovo. After digging a little, it seems we have a utility installed called "rapidboot". I removed this software using below instructions and all is good.
