Windows RAID 5 Probelm

The following is My computer configuration 

Processor AMD FX 8120

RAM  16GB

System  Windows 8 Pro

Motherboard CrossHair V formula

HDD one SSD

HDD RAID 5

The problem arise after I have install windows 8 pro I am unable to access the Raid 5 HDD the error massage the appear the HDD has raw data and need to be formatted. Can please help I do not want to format my HDD 5 as there are data on the RAID 5

Hi,

Could you please provide the below information for further investigation?

a. Did you install the Windows 8 Pro OS on the SSD disk?

b. When you said that the RAID 5, how did you configure the RAID 5, use a hardware RAID card or the Storage Pool?

c. Could you please provide the error message to us?

d. What kind of operation you did and then the issue start occur?(such as installing some hotfixes, etc)

Hello, I have the same problem.

I use the SB950 chipset from amd with a raid 5 configuration. It was working well under Windows 7 pro. I upgraded to Windows 8.1, and the raid appear as mass storage and need to be formated. 

My motherboard is a Asus M5A97.

I tried to install the chipset driver, but no difference.

In bios, the Raid 5 status is functional.
