Windows Photo Gallery will not output to TV
I am running W7 and trying to use Windows Photo Gallery (WMG) to output a slideshow to my TV. I am using a HP 6000 laptop. It has an S-video output. When I try to output a slide show, the screen on the PC goes black. When I try the same thing using Windows Media Player everything works fine. I think something is wrong with WPG

Hi,
One possible reason is the video driver. It may not work properly with Windows Live Photo Gallery when the output is put on an external monitor in Windows 7 beta. You may try to upgrade the driver.
If anyone else has this issue either, we will consider if it is a design mistake.Arthur Xie - MSFT

I also was wondering. Wouldn't Media Center use the same video drivers? MC has noproblem outputting a slide show of the same JPGs to the TV

It is better to download the driver from the computer manufacturers website.

Although WMP and Live Photo Gallery use the same video driver, the FPS or Refresh Rate can be different between playing something in WMP and Live Photo Gallery. You may lower your screen refresh rate for the monitor of the TV and then check the result. Also try to set the TV as main monitor, check if it resolves the issue. Arthur Xie - MSFT
