Windows Network Map will not start
I have a Windows 7 computer and 3 XP computers on a home network called WORKGROUP. The network map will not start on the Windows 7 computer. All computers are HP Comuters and the XP computers are running SP3

Devices must conform to LINK LAYER TOPOLOGY DISCOVERY Protocol
Link Layer Topology Discovery (LLTD) is a protocol developed by
Microsoft to allow networked devices to "discover" one another. If a device does
not make use of the LLTD protocol then it cannot be displayed on the network map
(e.g. Windows XP 64bit computer). All Windows Vista and Windows 7 computers have
the LLTD protocol implemented

I suggest that you enable Network Discovery in Windows 7. Click Start->Control Panel->Network and Sharing Center,
click Change advanced sharing settings. Enable the option. If the issue persists, try to access another computer by entering
\\computername
in the Start Search box. Let us know if it works properlyYour Name
