Windows Network Diagnostics
Every time my computer comes back from sleep mode my internet doesn't work and I get this. Issues found "The connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the Internet is broken" and, "The default gateway is not available" All my other 3 computers stay connected just fine; including my Xbox 360. why is this happening? I have Comcast connected to a D-Link (DIR-615 version B2 ) After the Windows Network Diagnostics solves the problem by Reset ing the "Local Area Connection" adapter File Name: BB05C4A5-7384-4FD4-8A0A-2E84925B11EB.Repair.1.etl

I have a similar problem with mine and I tried disabling IPv6 but that didn't fix it. It happens when the computer comes back from sleep mode or a period of inactivity. The work around that I have found for this (so far)is to disable and then enable the network adapter. This avoids having to reboot or use the troubleshooting function which does the same thing along with release and renewing the IP address. Create a shortcut to it on your Desktop so you'll quickley have access. You'll save a step so this method is quicker, although it's not a fix...but we are indeed working with an RC version of Windows so I'm not surprised about this sort of thing happening.

If you do a quick search of the forum using the term SLEEP you will see that there is an issue with Windows 7 sleep mode. This is the most common issue coming of the problem. Best option at this point is to avoid sleep mode until the issue is resolved.
