Windows Messenger 9.0 glitch?
I like the new messenger quite a lot, but there is one thing that bothers me VERY MUCH. Why is messenger in the start menu like other opened windows?YOU MUST CHECK THE PICTURE TO SEE THE PROBLEM, OTHERWISE YOU WON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT! ;)http://www.shrani.si/f/2a/Xr/1dkLWqTX/annoying.jpgThanks for the help in future!

this is a "feature" to save icons from cluttering the systray.i really don't like the way they made one icon completely useless to represent your avatar.i could work with the taskbar if it was one icon to open and close the messenger window and that's it.at least they should give an option to change this instead of resolving to go in vista mode.

thanks for the fix.i was curious about that as well.it would also be nice if the WLM icon matched the other tray icons.

As far as I am aware, this is not a 'bug' or 'glitch'. Instead, it is a feature used to help with clutter on the desktop. In reality, you don't really need to use that window very often so why have it there? MiCCAS.net Got an MSN/WLM virus? Checkout my free site at www.msnvirusremoval.com

I kind of like having one single icon whether I want to... open the program switch to the program check the status of the program And since it's a full program and the taskbar space isn't at a premium anymore, I can stand having it be in the taskbar with a nice elegant icon, and reserve the system tray for true system operations. I like it.I think of the pinned taskbar apps as an awesome hybrid between the tray, quicklaunch, and running programs. It takes some getting used to, but I am giving their new interface a chance before I decide to try to go back to my old ways.
