Windows Media Player wont re-install- Error 0x800F0922

I want to play FIFA 15 on my PC but it crashes before I can even start. I tried everything and nothing worked but when I tried to re-install Windows Media Player, I saw the error. It couldn't re-install... It has been going on for months now and I can't seem to find a fix and I really want to start playing FIFA again. Help would be very appreciated :) Any ideas?

Hi,

As mentioned above, please first make sure that all required software are installed including VC++ 2008 redistributable package, DirectX 11 and newest display card driver.

Meanwhile though you mentioned it "crashed", I still would like to know if any error occurs which may provide more information about it.

And if you meet all requirements including hardware and software requirements but it still cannot be launched, it is also recommended to contact EA as the vendor of the game.

For Windows Media Player, I cannot confirm if it related to this issue - it should not directly related but may be caused by same factor, so please let us know if there is any error occurs when trying to reinstall it. As a Windows component it should also log something in Event so please do a reinstall and check for new events to see if any error generated.

Hi Tom

I don't think your PC meet requirement, as stated at official Fifa site, min requirement for processor is

CPU: Intel Q6600 Core2 Quad @ 2.4Ghz

your CPU is 2.20 GHz

I still suggest you to contact EA as game developer, maybe you can install older version of FIFA. Im just afraid I will give the wrong information here

Good luck

Does the CPU make the game lag or anything? How does it affect the game? Plus, I am running the Windows Update and in it I am updating the security for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5. Will that help fix the Windows Media player error?
