Windows Login Screen
Hey, Currently We run an Active Directory and our current operating system used is Windows Xp, We have windows 7 and we wish to keep the same style of login screen since it allows for simple user switching. Is this logon screen possible since the way a person logs in to Windows 7 isn't as straightforward. Thanks

No, the Windows XP login screen is not available in Windows Vista nor Windows 7, instead you have to use the Windows welcome screen which now provide us with a consistent login experience for both home and corporate users. To ease the logins on the welcome screen (i.e. making sure that your users are trying to login to the domain instead of locally on the machines) you can set the group policy setting named "Assign a default domain for logon"" in Computer configuration > Administrative templates > System Logon.

Well.... I used a couple of edits to the secpol.msc to change values so that it always prompts for a user name and password. It defaults to the domain already, but if that is the case and there is no hope well have to deal since Windows 7 is much more secure. Thank for you're help. To be more specific Disenableing the option that saves the last users logon information. And forcing the CTRL-ALT-DELETE.
