Windows Location platform

Does anyone know a command line, GPO or SCCM way of enabling the Windows Location Platform setting under control panel > all control panel items > location settings > Turn on the Windows Location platform?

I can enable this manually as an administrator but I want to enable it remotely it on a large group of machines for all users of the device.

Any thoughts?

In the Group Policy Editor, navigate to Computer Configuration Administrative Templates Windows Components Location and Sensors Windows Location Provider on the right side treeview. You would find a setting named Turn off Windows Location Provider as shown.

Set it to disable

Thanks for the response Frederick, unfortunately setting the GPO still doesn't tick the ' Turn on the Windows Location platform' box in control panel and I can't get users to tick it themselves to turn it on as it requires elevated permissions

Is this likely to be a problem with the build image? as everything I have read suggests that this should be enabled by default anyway..

change this regkey: HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Sensor\Overrides\{BFA794E4-F964-4FDB-90F6-51056BFE4B44}\sensorpermissionstate value =1

you can do this with GPP
