Windows Live Movie Maker does not allow to save movies as an avi file
The old but really good Windows Movie Maker in Win XP needs to be updated and brought back to life in the next release of Win 7 Service Pack. The new version (Live Movie Maker) that Win 7 makes available is just too limited. Same also holds true for Windows Live Photo Gallery which replaced the "Picture It 9" version that we had as part of our Win XP (that may have a been a separate software bundle - not sure anymore since I retired that PC). Yes, both the new Photo Gallery and Live Movie Maker have some good features but they lack what was previously available with these old programs. which has which replaced the old .

I agree. windows live movie maker now has very limited options. However in good note, videos created in windows live moviemaker are lighter and looks better in youtube compared to that in the old oneCESabarre Free Tech Support Bad News: There really is no such thing as Free Tech Support.
