I did a virus scan last Tuesday night and on Wednesday my email stopped sending anything but I can still receive emails. I've tried typing the email address in manually which worked to send 1 email but then its stopped working again!!

has anything changed recently in the network setup? If you log into Windows Live via the web browser, can you send and receive email as normal? The other thing to check is whether your ISP has started applying SMTP filtering - some ISPs do that. As a test, try to telnet over port 25 to smtp.talktalk.net. When I tried it the connection simply timed out, suggesting that it's either limited to a TalkTalk internet account OR there are problems with the ISPs SMTP server...you might need to contact them.

You may have items stuck in your outbox. These will have to be deleted. In my screen the outbox is not visible and you have to scroll down to see it and access it

We were having the same problem. Make sure you are signed into windows live on your email. It is located on the top right of the status bar. This solved our problem.
