Windows Journal 'Save' bug
Hello all. I've installedWindows 7 on my laptop (IBMThinkpad X41 Tablet) andso farI'm impressed by how smooth everything runs on a machine that choked onVista. Although, since installing Win7I've noticed one annoying bug with the program "Windows Journal".Whenever I go to class, I use my tablet to take notes, and use Windows Journal as the note-taking program. I can then save the file (via file->save as->etc). Any attempts to save any additional notes via the save button, file->save, and even occasionally overwriting the file itself locks up the whole program indefinetly. I let it sit for 10 minutes on one occasion and nothing happened. I have to then force quit the program. Sometimes a temp file will be saved so that I don't lose the new information, but most times it reverts to the previous (the first) save made. I would really appreciate it if this were fixed, because Win7 seems like it's going to be my new OS of choice on this laptop when it goes live. Thanks :)

Hi, I have tried to edit in Windows Journal and save the file. It works properly. There should be some issues on the computer. I suggest that you temporary disable the anti-virus and firewall. If the issue persists, boot in Clean Boot Mode. How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista If the issue still occurs in Clean Boot Mode, I suggest that you create a new account and boot in the user profile.
