Windows Installer service could not be accessed (Error 1719)
Every time I run the setup file of PASW Statistics 18 (SPSS 18) on Win7 Ultimate (32 bit), I get the following message: "Error 1719. Windows Installer service could not be accessed. ..." As far as I know Win7 uses Windows Installer 5 which is not yet redistributable to the public. Could anyone help please?

Sorry for the bump, but I'm having this issue, been following the directions on the link posted above, except I've hit a snag.
The second step i have to do it "b. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, expand SYSTEM, expand CurrentControlSet, expand Services, and then click MSIServer."
The only problem is that I don't have a folder named CurrentControlSet, I've got one called CurrentControlSet001, CurrentControlSet002 and CurrentControlSet003. Any idea what I should do? Modify just one? Modify all 3?
Hi,
