Windows HomeGroup Intermittent Access
Help. I setup my Windows 7 HomeGroup accoding to online guides that I found online. Both computers are running Windows 7 (1 is Home Premium and 1 is Ultimate, Ultimate is the host). All sharing is enabled. I can INTERMITTENTLY access the Homegroup. I have no idea what the trigger is. Meaning, at one point I can access everything fine, and then the next day (no reboot on either system) the HomeGroup doesn't show up. I try restarting the client computer but no help. The computers are connected through a wireless network using a connection through a wireless access point protected using a WEP key. Internet works fine on both systems. I've spent days online so if someone could help it'd be great.

Not so much an answer, but to add to what you've experienced in my case I saw that after not seeing the other computer from my laptop, if I try to print to a shared printer (to make sure my wireless was working), then go back to Windows Explorer then the other computer shows up (?)

This kind of issues can be caused by several reasons. You may temporary disable the antivirus and firewall. If the issue persists, please check the firewall settings in your router. If you have another router or switch, you may replace the current one with it and let us know if it works properly. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
