Windows Fax and Scan feature request
Scan directly into the currently selected folder, not only the root folder. Name files using file name template, e.g. "Scanned Document - ### - yyyy-MM-dd". Configure location of the scanned documents folder. Perform basic editing operations, like rotate and crop within the application. Configure and start external image editing application e.g. MSPaint Configure and start external image viewer application e.g. Windows Live Photo Gallery Add context menu to view selected folder in Windows Explorer

If you scanner is like any of mine, it has several buttons. You can change the buttons to do what you want with them. Scans are sent into the Documents folder under Scanned Documents. That can be changed if desired. Editing the image is in the province of image editing software such as Photoshop.
