Windows Explorer repeating message__Today, desktop has no taskbar/toolbar at bottom __Start button does not work when it is there.__When it is visible, it is frozen and unresponsive
We have Windows XP Home Edition, service Pack 3, installed windows explorer 7 in 09 For the past week I constantly get a pop up message box from Windows Explorer (even before Windows Explorer comes up on my screen)that says they have encountered a problem and needs to close. They are sorry for the inconvenience and I can choose to do one of three things. 1.Debug, 2.Send error report, 3. or don't send. If I respond to this(which I have done over 20 times, I lose whatever site I am on and it goes back to desktop. I CAN ignore this message and it will let me move the box all around to keep it out of my way, and I can surf the web, check my email or go to facebook. My task bar at the bottom of my desktop is either blank or frozen and my START button does not work at all. Today I have NOTHING at the bottom at all! I can get online, go to AOL or Facebook - but NOT access anything on my PC except for the couple of icons I do have on my desktop. I have looked up many sites for "fixes" online - but all their ideas include clicking on my start button first! No can do! I have clicked my mouse above the desktop page, to the right and the left and all along the bottom - hoping this will make my task bar and start button and time, etc., magically appear! NOTHING happens! Is this caused by a virus? We have McAffee through AOL/phone provider, so should be protected, right? Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated!1 person needs an answerI do too

Update your McAfee and see if peoblem will resolve. If you could not update it then try to update in safemode with networking (restart and press F8 key repeatedly before windows logo come up and chose safemode with networking) and update McAfee.Run full system scan in safemode too.If problem is happen in Internet Explorer 7 , then go to Microsoft website and Download Internet Explorer 8. Also update your Windows too.
