When I try to delete a file, folder, picture, explorer freezes. If I try to move document files it freezes and I have to go to the task manager to end task. At times the task has been completed and other times it has not. I have not been able to empty my recycle bin it just keeps doubling in size. I have gone through a few fixes on other forums and nothing has worked. I run Trend Micro Titanium as my security system I have cleaned temp files daily I have downloaded http://media.askvg.com/downloads/2008/02/vista_reg_codes.zip I have gone into system maintenance and under virtual memory reset the custom size to 2000 and 4000 I have gone into msconfig and disabled start ups I have done a clean disk Not one of these made a single bit of difference. I need to clean house on the computer I have old documents that must go and I can't do it. Please someone HELP

Try Windows Updates first. Try safe mode. Try disabling all non microsoft services. You might need to reinstall or recover your computer to factory defaults.
