Windows Explorer crash on video folder
Hi, when I browsing using Windows Explorer and opening a folder (on the hard disk) which contains DVD Vob files sometimes the Windows Explorer crashes, this forces me to re-run "Explorer" again (throught Run option) otherwise I canot continue working with the system. I'm using windows 7 build 7100 with all the new updates. Has anyone have a solution for that? Is this a known issue? Thanks, Guy.Guy

The files in those folders are size extra large so if you try to use the interface while it is loading or maybe even if you don't it may crash espezialy if you have limited ram installed or pagefile deficit.

Look at my PC spec, I don't think I should have any RAM issues, I have 4GByte, which in 32 bit, windows recognize about 3G. Also, when I get this crash there are no other applications which are opened so the amount of free ram is high.Guy

Thanks, I will try to do that, currently I've only installed KMPlayer which I think installs its codecs, maybe this is the problem...I heard that there is a freeware(http://www.snapfiles.com/get/shellexview.html) software which disable all third parties on windows explorer, does it work on windows 7 as well?Guy

Hi Guy, Mostly, the issue is caused by third party media player software/codec. You mentioned KMPlayer was installed on the computer, please try to remove it temporarily to test the issue. Also, hope the following similar issue can help you. Suddenly I can't see movie files thumbnails Thanks.
