Windows Explorer's diagnostic log says I have an Errror 12031
Ok, hear goes. AVG told me that my netgear wireless card program was a trojan virus and it was too large to fit in the virus vault, so I deleted it and ever since then I've had troubles connecting to the internet even over my wired (ethernet) connection. When I tell explorer to diagnose the problem it says this: Windows did not detect any problems with your Internet connection over HTTP and HTTPS, but but was not able to make a successful connection over FTP. The most likely cause of this that a firewall client running on your machine is blocking the necessary FTP ports. If you are trying to use FTP, please contact the manufacturer of your personal computer for assistance. It also used to say that I had a Winsock problem but I think I fixed that. A friend of mine installed the netgear card and didn't leave me the disc so I can't just reinstall it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you. 2 people need an answerI do too
