Windows Experience Index using High Performance Power Plan
Hello! I was redirected here by a moderator from Microsoft Answers to receive a more suitable audience. A while back, on my now 3-month old laptop, I deleted Windows 7's default power plans using the cmd. This was because the laptop was built-in with 4 power plans that are compatible with the drivers that changes the power plan by pressing the devoted dashboard button. Anyways, just today, when I tried running Windows Experience Index, it immediately returned an error after flashing. When checking the .log for info, it turns out that WEI is dependent on the High Performance power plan to run correctly. However, I have its equivalent that would run just as well. Here is the returned error: 234157 (1428) - winsat\syspowertools.cpp:0983: > Read the active power scheme as '512a6ac6-efc1-4441-85c9-cccf29b69cd2' 234235 (1428) - winsat\main.cpp:2793: > power policy saved. 234251 (1428) - winsat\syspowertools.cpp:1018: ERROR: Cannot set the current power scheme to '8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c': The instance name passed was not recognized as valid by a WMI data provider. Now, I'm wondering, is there any way to get around this using my personal Higher Performance power plan (which is the first scheme listed above)? I own Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium, if it is necessary. Many thanks, and have a great day!
