Windows Errors 41, 6008, 29 Every Single Start-Up After Normal Shutdowns

I have a new computer build, ASUS Sabertooth Z97 Mark 1 Mother Board, intel i7 4790 cpu, Corsair 2x8Gb 1866MHz ram, intel liquid cooler, corsair cx750M power supply, PNY gtx 780 graphics card, and Toshiba SSD.

EVERY single time I start my computer up I get the following errors...Every Single Time

**Can't upload image until my account is verified. Until that time the repeat offenders are:

 • 219 - The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\PNP0A0A\2&daba3ff&2.
 • 10000 - WLAN Extensibility Module has failed to start.
 • 29 - Windows failed fast startup with error status 0xC00000D4.
 • 6008 - The previous system shutdown at 6:25:35 PM on 3/17/2015 was unexpected.
 • 41 - The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
 • 219 - The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\PNP0A0A\2&daba3ff&2.
 • 219 - The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device ROOT\WPD\0000.

The above errors happen every startup, everytime. And it makes my computer boot-up slow. On my laptop with the same SSD I had 3 sec boot times. This PC has between 15 and 109 sec boot times.

I always shut down my computer properly. I have tested my memory, and it passed. The SSD came out of my gaming laptop (which is also very new) and it never had any issues in there, so I am crossing that off the list.

Sometimes when I start my computer up it just goes to a black screen for about 3 minutes, then boots into windows. Someone please help me!

Type Services into the start search box.

Go down the list to Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework.

Double click on it and change startup type to Automatic.

Thanks for your reply. I had come across that advice in my attempt to research this problem the other week. I have changed it before to automatic, however it seems to be getting set back to manual for some reason?

However, I just set the WDF to Automatic, and powered down and then back on 3 times and all three times I did not get any of the above mentioned errors. But one observation, after checking Windows Driver Foundation under services after my bootups, I noticed that it is being changed to "Automatic (Trigger Start)". Is this normal?

Please provide us with your Event Viewer administrative logs by following these steps:

Click Start Menu
Type eventvwr into Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
Right click eventvwr.exe and click Run as administrator
Expand Custom Views
Click Administrative Events
Right click Administrative Events
Save all Events in Custom View As...
Save them in a folder where you will remember which folder and save as Errors.evtx
Go to where you saved Errors.evtx
Right click Errors.evtx -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder
Upload the .zip file to Onedrive or a file sharing service and put a link to it in your next post * If you have updated to win 8.1 and you get the error message "the system cannot find the file specified" it is a known problem. The work around is to edit the registry. If you are not comfortable doing this DONT. If you are, backup the key before you do Press Win+"R" and input regedit
Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WINEVT\Channels. Delete "Microsoft-Windows-DxpTaskRingtone/Analytic"

Hey ZigZag, I followed your instructions and uploaded the file to onedrive. The link is https://onedrive.live.com/?gologin=1&mkt=en-US I hope you can access this and don't need OAuth. If so, just let me know how to provide those credentials for you.

Thank you very much for your time. Let me know if you find anything!

Actually, I figured out how to share the file. Here is the correct link: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=F94B38E14F46AB28%211769

Thanks!

I would be more concerned about these 2 than what drivers do or do not load. You have fatal hardware errors. Hopefully you only need to update the BIOS. I would also run a system file check to find the state of the OS

Please run a system file check (SFC) & DISM if you are on win 8 or higher
All instructions are in our Wiki article below...
Should you have any questions please ask us.

Thank you for looking at my logs. I had actually flashed my BIOS yesterday after I saw those messages. I downloaded the most recent BIOS from ASUS and installed it. I will run the SFC tonight when I get home from school and let you know the results.

ZigZag - I ran the System File Check. The result was: "Windows Recourse Protection did not find any integrity violations".

When I tried to logon to my desktop 10 minutes ago, I got stuck at the ASUS spash screen. I had to reset my computer to get out of it. My second attempt granted me a slow but successful logon. I checked my error logs, and the usual error 6008 and 41 were there.

Any other thoughts as to what could be causing this strange issue. Here is the new link to my logs from this past logon: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=F94B38E14F46AB28%211770

You are still having the following problems

1-fastboot (I would disable it)

Windows failed fast startup with error status 0xC00000D4.

2-Your wireless driver is corrupt and needs to be re-installed

e1dexpress. Display Name: Intel PRO/1000 PCI Express Network Connection

3-Networking issues

The Network List Manager reports no connectivity to the internet.

6008 is the generic "previous shutdown was unexpected

41 is also the same.

Do you have DMP files (c:\windows\minidump)?

If so upload them to onedrive or any file sharing service.

Unsure of the actual problem at this point. Is it the event viewer logs, long boot, crashes, etc?

Well the problem - at least I think it is a problem - is that my computer thinks it is not being shut down properly, i.e event error 6008 and 41. That is what is concerning me.

I have the EXACT same problem and I've tried EVERYTHING possible... I am struggling with this problem for almost 2 months now... I am so tired of it.

My rig is a pretty standard build: ASUS H97-Pro, INTEL-4570, 16GB DDR3-1600.

sfuma,

I think I fixed it. Per ZigZag's advice I turned off fast start-up and the problem seems to have gone away. I have had about 4 or 5 boot-ups so far without the 6008 and 41 error messages, as well as no more hangs on boot-up.

Open Control Panel, click on Power Options, on the left bar click "choose what the power button does", then at the top of the page click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable", then on the bottom uncheck the check box that corresponds to "Turn on Fast Startup (Recommended)".

Also, click the windows button and type "services", then click on "view local services". Make sure Windows Driver Foundation is on Automatic.

These two things seemed to have fixed it. Let me know if it works for you to.

Do you offer crutches. All Internet swears on a poor job fast startup. Microsoft is aware of this problem??? Sucks really as all my components are fairly new and advertised to support fast startup.

Why Microsoft has launched buggy "Fast startup"?

Why does "fast boot" works well on laptops and do not work on desktop? The answer is obvious. power supply and haswell.
haswell - poor and unfortunate chipset. Does not work well on a PC.

HASWELL-shit!
