I am having a tough time understanding why Windows Easy Transfer was deprecated in 8.1. We were just looking at upgrading our campus to 8.1. With this discovery, that upgrade is now out the window. We will stay on Win 7 as long as we can (yes even after EOL), unless Windows 10 has a usable transfer program. In our environment we use WET daily. What Microsoft failed to realize it was EASY and works really well. This program saves us tons of time, moving users from a old machine to new machine. What Microsoft fails to realize is that simple program changes like this that make people stay on XP/WIN7 vs. upgrading. So my question does Win10 have a program similar to WET?

Since Windows 8.1, because SkyDrive come into popular with sync User Profile settings and document, there is no need to use WET any more. That's why it is deprecated in Windows 8.1.
