According to MS, and as quoted in another thread, "...You can transfer user accounts, Files, folders, E-mail messages,contacts, photos, music, and videos, WindowsandInternet settings..." I found the Belkin cable in a bargain bin and thought it would be a good alternative to transferring files over the wireless network. I keyed in on the words "trasfer files, folders..." It appears, though, that the Windows Easy Transfer app is only for moving user accounts and settings and the like. Unless I'm missing something, you can't transfer any folder you want, even though a MS page says "...you can make custom selections of the data and folders to transfer..." Am I missing something here? All I want to do is transfer some very large data folders and data files off my laptop onto my desktop, which has bigger hard drives. Thanks.
