Dear All, i am facing issue with my domain , after joining any system ( OS:- windows 7 ) its unable to take ip address from dhcp server , giving error windows daignostic policy service is not running , while same time all the system which are not in domin ,they are working fine . could any one help us ??

Hello Triyambak Singh, Did you check the state of the service? Go to Windows Start button and type in the search bar "services" (without the quotes) and then press Enter. On the service list, look up Diagnostic Policy Service and verify that its status is Started and that the startup type is set as Automatic. If it's not, change accordingly and start the service manually (Take notes if you recieve any error during the start process) Regards

Hi, Service is stopped and when i try to start the service i gets Error as follows- "The Microsoft office diagnostics service on local computer started and then stopped. Some services stops automatically, if they are not in use by other services or programs." Tried with service as manual and automatic, but it remains stopped. Regards, Triya

Hi, Please also try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue. 1. Restart the machine in Safe Mode and perform a System Restore for a test. 2. Uninstall all network adapters in Device Manager and restart the machine. Then the adapters will be reinstalled automatically and check whether the service can be started now. If the issue persists after performing above suggestions, I suggest you run System File Checker (SFC) to verify whether any system file is corrupted. Thanks, Novak
